This 10,000 square foot home was transformed through the implementation of a multi-room audio and video system that distributes high definition pictures and sound to any room. This means that any source can be watched anywhere: Sky HD in the gym, HD movies on Apple TV in the study and children's TV in the kitchen or all of these everywhere. Using video over Cat5 technology this is able to be cost effective (Cat5e is cheap per metre) but extremely powerful.
Face to Face Digital works hard to understand the way our clients like to live: for example, in this project the clients have the ability to play lullabies in their childrens' bedrooms from a handset in the kitchen but are also able to check in with the latest business information via secure link back to his office in London.
Perhaps the most surprising aspect of this installation is the ability to provide over 12 different zones of music (each of which can be started or stopped or play different music at any time, with individual control of volume and playlists) for under £700 per room. The system runs on Sonos technology and it is a good example of the way technology has moved forward while prices have come down.
